  i’ve been shunned for many years so her passing doesn’t really constitute a loss for me.

  her and her husband made it clear many years ago they didn’t want a homo in their family.

  Zoos, the cult mentality effectively turns a JW into a possessed individual. They become worker-bees.

  They no longer think or act for themselves, because they have handed over control of every aspect of their lives to a money-making corporation, not to "Jehovah" as they have been conned into believing.

  Our relatives with this mindset willingly terminate our family ties and cease to be our family. In recent years, I have been "stoned to death" by my colluding siblings - not because of any judicial action by the cult, but simply because I was informing them of factual media items about the org which they described as "negative."

  Christian love, eh?

We also show that we know him when we love and obey him and give him our exclusive devotion.”

  Exclusive devotion to God? OK, I can do that. Any other requirements for survival which Paul forgot to mention and that I should know about?

  page 13, par. 17 - “That obedience includes........supporting Christ’s anointed brothers (the usual suspects at the top of the pyramid!) as they care for their weighty responsibilities.”

  No more Mr. Nice guy with coons

  i have been having issues with coons.

  they are eating my cat food and being a pain in the ass.

  i have live trapped some but these last few trip the live trap and do not get trapped then steal the bait.

  I hope your cats never become "pests" to any of your neighbours. I'd hate to see them get their leg caught in such a brutal trap.

  Couldn't you just trap the pesky critter and then take it for 20-30 minute drive somewhere?

  Let the little swine live somewhere far away from you. Just a suggestion I used several years ago.

  afaik, jw congregations don't employ professional map-makers, (cartographers) so how do all the uk congregations obtain such copyrighted items for their business?.

  w03 7/15 p. 20 par. 21 - “Today, he is speeding up the final spiritual harvest.” (Isaiah 60:22)
  

  This is org reverse-speak for God slowing the work down, as witnessed (TM) by the unprecedented cuts in literature production, unprecedented cuts in actual preaching by JW's, (think trolley-zombies) the unprecedented sell-off of KH's & Branches, and the termination of District Overseers, older Circuit Overseers, Special Pioneers, and countless Bethelites.

  Yup, the great expansion can be seen by looking through the wrong end of the org's binoculars.

  back in the day, russell and rutherford would hold debates with other religious leaders.

  why has jehovah's witnesses stopped doing that?

  i think it would be very interesting to see how they would hold up on a debate now.

  JW's are too afraid to even attempt to defend the org's teachings with anyone who appears to be Bible-savvy.

  If someone has a good knowledge of the Bible and JW dogma, the JW's "apostate alarm bell" will immediately ring, prompting a question which stops the discussion, "Did you used to be a JW?"

  If all else fails, they can use 2 Timothy 2:23 to save themselves from embarrassment - "Further, reject foolish and ignorant debates, knowing that they produce fights."

  i am over the moon today!.

  just want to share my joy with all of you.

  just yesterday my closest n bestest (for emphasis) friend hugged me so tight n so long n revealed that my friend is starting to feel normal again.

  my never a jw dad tol me that my kid brother (32) is an elder.

  it bothered me, i genuinely thought he was just going through the motions for the sake of his wife and our mum.. interestingly, dad was annoyed that he doesn't see so much of my brother lately and that my mum (uber jw) always makes excuses for him.. what a surprise.

  Nicalaou - I'm sure many here will testify that as soon as a "brother" exhibits the potential requirements to "join the team" of appointed men, elders will quickly begin to groom him very quickly.
